MEMPAC-M2 THROUGH M12
For domestic wastewater projects where treatment capacity will be installed in planned phases, the MEMPAC-M Series offers six phased, expandable models with design flows from 167,000 to 1,000,000 GPD. Future phases are incorporated into the initial system design, equipment configuration, and site layout so treatment capacity can be added as planned.
PHASED EXPANSION PLANNING
Phased expansion begins during the project’s initial design. Cloacina works with the project team to evaluate current treatment needs, anticipated growth, site conditions, and the expected timing of future capacity.
The system layout and equipment configuration are then developed around the planned phases. Projects that may require future treatment capacity should establish the phased approach before the initial system is designed.
PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS
The initial phase is designed to provide the treatment capacity required for the project’s current stage.
Expected development, future wastewater flows, and the timing of additional capacity help define the planned phases.
The equipment configuration and site layout are developed with both the initial system and future phases in mind.
Phased expansion must be incorporated into the initial project design. It cannot be added to a system that was originally designed for a single build-out.
AVAILABLE MODELS
The Phased Expansion Path includes six MEMPAC-M models with design flows ranging from 167,000 to 1,000,000 GPD. Cloacina determines the appropriate model, initial capacity, and planned phases based on the project’s current needs and anticipated growth.
Final treatment requirements, phasing plans, and system configurations are project-specific.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
Phased, expandable MEMPAC-M systems can support domestic wastewater projects where treatment demand is expected to increase as development occurs. Every project is evaluated individually based on its flow, anticipated growth, site conditions, and treatment requirements.
THE MEMPAC-M STANDARD
Phased, expandable MEMPAC-M systems are grounded in the same Cloacina principles found throughout the series: proven pre-engineering, quality materials and components, integrated equipment and controls, factory installation and wet testing, and single-point responsibility.
MEMPAC-M systems are extensively refined and informed by real-world operating experience. Pre-engineering helps reduce project risk, support consistency, and streamline design and production.
Stainless-steel tankage and corrosion-resistant components support durability, quality, and long-term system performance.
Treatment equipment, controls, monitoring, and operator-access features are integrated into a coordinated packaged system.
Equipment is installed and wet-tested at Cloacina’s manufacturing facility before shipment, supporting quality control and reducing field integration.
Cloacina provides an integrated treatment solution supported by technical expertise, operator training, remote support, and lifecycle services.
TREATMENT PROCESS AND PERFORMANCE
MEMPAC-M systems combine activated sludge treatment with membrane clarification. The membrane barrier retains suspended solids within the biological process, producing high-quality effluent.
The systems incorporate Cloacina’s Forward Activated Sludge process to provide the motive force needed to maintain appropriate viscosity at the membrane interface.
INCOMING WASTEWATER
TREATED WATER
Lower effluent limits may require additional engineering and process equipment. Final treatment requirements and system configuration are project-specific.
OPERATOR-CENTERED BY DESIGN
Cloacina MEMPAC-M systems are informed by decades of hands-on wastewater operations experience. Equipment access, controls, monitoring, redundancy, and maintenance are considered as part of a complete system so operators can work safely and efficiently.
Equipment is arranged to support visibility, accessibility, and routine maintenance while minimizing unnecessary disruption to plant operation.
Sensors and submerged equipment are mounted on Cloacina’s Slide Rail System, providing safe, repeatable access while reducing cord tangling and physical strain.
Intuitive controls, Human-Machine Interface access, process monitoring, trending, and remote support give operators better visibility into system performance.
Independent membrane trains and redundant equipment support maintenance and cleaning while helping preserve treatment capacity.
Integrated foam-control features help manage buildup and reduce the need for operator intervention.
Specific features and equipment may vary by model and project configuration.
