The Role

The electrician is responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control and wiring systems while working from technical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Study and interpret assembly instructions.
• Listen to directions from supervisors.
• Fabricate and assemble wastewater/water treatment components.
• Determine if all parts are present.
• Read parts list/BOM.
• Verify specifications.
• Complete preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure the working environment is clean and safe.
• Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished.
• Place orders for supplies.
• Participate in product development.
• Build prototypes and test products.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code, state, and local building regulations.
• Perform circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
