Role Summary

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to design and implement complex industrial electrical and control systems. The role focuses on 480VAC power systems, 24VDC control systems, and programming architecture and integration. The successful candidate will have extensive electrical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, implement, or improve electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment, products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
• Perform engineering tasks using computer-aided design or engineering software and equipment.
• Confer with customers, engineers, and others about existing or potential engineering products and projects.
• Prepare electrical system specifications and technical drawings to ensure installations and operations meet standards and customer requirements.
• Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards and specifications through detailed calculations.
• Direct or coordinate installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Write reports and compile data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
• Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
• Supervise or train project team members.
• Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
• Work with a variety of technicians.
• Manage designated personnel.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
• Extensive experience as an electrical engineer, with a focus on power systems, control systems, and programming architecture and integration.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of applicable codes related to electrical engineering.
• Proficiency with design and calculation software.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to design safe, efficient, and effective electrical systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, computer-aided design (CAD) software, and other relevant analytical, scientific, or monitoring software.
• Thorough understanding of applicable government environmental and safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
